Parenting and Young Chef's Academy have paired up to host the Young Chef's Mother's Day Brunch event. Although they don't give too much info about what to expect online, if you check out the Young Chef's Academy's main website, I can imagine it follows the typical class structure but with a bigger emphasis on spending time in the kitchen with mom. Their site says "Time spent in the kitchen can be more than just a "cooking lesson." It can be an adventure, a time of bonding, a time to share."
It's refreshing to see kids with the knowledge to take care of themselves in domestic areas, and it sometimes seems that cooking is a dying art - and often seen as drudge work. (I know I'm guilty of that attitude myself!) Advertised as an "interactive cooking class" for kids and their parents, it sounds like it would be fun and educational, for both parents and kids. Even if you don't come away with great culinary experience, it's just one of many options to celebrate Mother's Day as a family, and it sounds like a really good time!
