Who's going to win the 79th Oscars?

Break out the snacks and invite the friends over – it’s time for the Oscars!

Since most of us, for some reason unknown to me, never did receive our invitation to the Oscars, I guess we’ll have to make the most of it and host our own Oscar party. Despite the fact that we won’t be getting any of the gift baskets or benefits of actually being there, there’s no reason we can’t still celebrate!

The Oscars give us a chance to enjoy Hollywood’s finest, allowing us to become the critics of fashion, movies, directors, actors, and much more. I’m not that into watching the awards being actually given, except that sometimes someone will say something completely outrageous in their acceptance speech, but I have to admit that I do enjoy checking out what everyone is wearing. I’m no Joan or Melissa, and I don’t have a clue what is considered haute couture, but I can’t help it, I’m into the whole celebrity fashion thing.

So, kick back and join me in celebrating the 79th Oscars Awards! No, I won’t be live-blogging them like so many people are doing, but I will be cheering on my favorites and checking out the who’s who! And hey, do we really need an excuse to throw a party and have friends and food?
