Who's birthday is it?

Did you know that Tuesday, August 19th is the birthday of Sesame Street's Snuffleupagus's? Yep, Aloysius Snuffleupagus, better known to TV viewers as "Snuffy," is the friend of Big Bird and the big brother to little sister Alice. He was introduced to the show in 1971, which makes him 37 this year. He began as a character that only Big Bird saw, so he kind of fit the bill as an "imaginary friend" until 1985 when the adults on Sesame Street finally got to meet him. Since his arrival on Sesame Street, Snuffy's character has gotten to be a familiar face and loved by many.

He has a grandmother who lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a cousin named Abigail, and an Aunt Agnes.
His species (also called Snuffleupagus) is supposedly indigenous of a small island in Hawaii.
Mr. Snuffleupagus lives in a cave with his family that located very close to Sesame Street.
His favorite foods are cabbage and spaghetti.
Other then Big Bird, his other close friend is named Rosalyn who is also a Snuffleupagus.
Even though he is on Sesame Street, Jim Henson and his associates always classified him as a Muppet.
He is in the Guinness Book or World Records for having the longest eyelashes of any puppet in the world.

(Oh, and on a sidenote, did you know that Snuffy shares his birthday with former President Bill Clinton? He will be 62 this year.)
