Seems like there’s a holiday for everything these days… Did you know that today, January 6th, is at least two holidays: Bean Day and Cuddle-Up Day. Yep, you heard me right. Although I haven’t found anything on the origin of either of these “holidays,” they’re really true. You can even send E-cards to celebrate! How funny is that… or weird, take your pick. Here are two samples of what you might find online to send out today
I can only image what the point of Bean day is, except to probably bring people’s attention to the much neglected legume. Let’s all celebrate with a bean supper – if we dare! Personally, I think Cuddle-Up day sounds like much more fun. Especially being in January when the weather is usually nice and chilly, cuddling up to someone sounds like a good plan. Even if you aren’t part of a couple, cuddling up in a comfy chair with a nice blanket and a good book or cup of coffee sounds just as inviting. ![]()
I guess this just goes to prove that there’s something to celebrate ever day. Did you know that tomorrow, January 7th is Old Rock day? Let’s celebrate old rocks and fossils! Okay, this is just weird, but maybe a good learning opportunity for the kids? The list of strange holidays goes on and on…
