Unearth your teddy bears - tomorrow is Teddy Bear Day!

Teddy bears play a huge part in most people's childhood. (Or at least some kind of stuffed animal does!) In honor of tomorrow's celebration of Teddy Bear Day, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is offering free admission to any child who brings their teddy bear with them (and has a paid adult admission to join them of course). The neat thing about this is that not only do they get to carry their bear around, but there will be an "official teddy bear doctors [who] will examine your fuzzy friend for common ailments including plumpness and flexibility. All patients receive a "Beary" Good Health Certificate." Cute, huh?

Also, to honor the day, a realty company in Nevada is taking donations for teddy bears to give to their local police department to have on hand to give to children in need. Their goal is only 25, but I think that with such a good cause, let's wish them luck and hope that they greatly surpass that!

I've also read of many elementary and preschools that are having a teddy bear day, encouraging the kids to bring in their bears. Sounds like a lot of fun for the kids!
