September celebrations

It seems like there's not much going on in the month of September, but I know better! Okay, so maybe there's not a lot of big holidays, but that doesn't mean there's not stuff to keep us busy. With the beginning of fall coming up on us, it seems like many people are getting in one last hurrah before the cold weather sets in.

The funny thing is, this month, even without any major holidays, I'm having trouble deciding what to do! This coming weekend a local office is having their fall flea market, a local fairground is holding their annual flea market, I have a wedding to attend, and a family reunion. (Oh yeah, and this is great weather for weddings...)

Next weekend is my favorite "holiday," which would be my birthday! Although sometimes it seemed I was a little shorted on my birthday growing up (it was always the end of the fiscal year for my mom at her work, so she was always pretty busy), birthdays are still usually fun times. I'll never forget the year my parents threw me a surprise birthday party. I had no idea it was coming and was completely and totally surprised. It was fun, even if I was a little shocked!

Then at the end of the month, there's a local school that is having a children's consignment sale. (Do you get the idea that I'm big on yard sales and flea markets?)

Looks like I'm going to be busy for the rest of the month!
