November's first week of holidays

How in the world is it November already? This is crazy - I am SO not ready for Thanksgiving, and yet it's looming before me like it's out to get me - personally! Maybe it's because we're drawing closer and closer to a "due date" for baby #2 or maybe it's because my son has decided to 1-chance his sleep schedule, 2-assert his independence, and 3-push every button I've got, or maybe it's because I think we're hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year... I'm not really sure, but somehow the month of November seems to be eaten up and gone before we've even really gotten started. My calender keeps filling up and then there are days like today where we stayed at home and did pretty much nothing, but both my son and I were grouchy, so it still wasn't a "pleasant, relaxing" kind of day. Oh well... bring on the holidays!

Here's what we've got this week:

PB&J.jpg November 3: Housewife's Day, Sandwich Day

November 4: King Tut Day

November 5: Gunpowder Day, or Guy Fawkes Day

November 6: Marooned without a Compass Day
Saxophone Day

November 7: Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day

I'm glad to see there's a holiday devoted to celebrating us stay-at-homers, although you'd think they'd call it something a little more modern... Housewife is kind of an archaic term these days. And what about those househusbands? (Who says THAT?) But you get what I mean. And I guess I goofed, I didn't celebrate Sandwich Day - I had leftovers. But the way I see it is that I've got plenty of chances to eat those PB&J sandwiches, so I'll have a post-holiday celebration later!
