May 10th and 11th holidays

I missed the holidays for May 10th and 11th! This weekend has just flown by - with Mother's Day on Sunday and our annual yard sale this past Saturday, it almost seems like we didn't have a weekend at all! (Funny how yard sales go, every year I do one and say I'm never going to do one again, and every year I drag out all my stuff and have another one...)

The holidays we had the past two days were:

May 11th

May 12th

I especially like the "Eat What You Want Day," but since I pretty much do that anyway, I guess that's really no big deal. I never grew up watching the Twilight Zone, so that holiday doesn't mean too much to me, although there are plenty of days I FEEL like I must be in the Twilight Zone!

May 12th's International Nurses Day is a good holiday, and shame on me for letting it pass! My mother-in-law is a nurse, and a good one at that, and I should have remembered to at least send her a card. It would have made her day. She went back to school in her 30's to change careers and has worked very hard to get where she is, and she loves her job. It's not too late to celebrate the nurses you know! Hey, I've got an idea! You can write them a limerick to tell them how you appreciate them! That way you get two holidays in at once!
