Saturday, June 7th celebrates National Chocolate Ice Cream Day while Sunday, June 8th celebrates Best Friends Day and (what in the world???) Name Your Poison Day.
Okay, I totally get celebrating chocolate ice cream and best friends. You really can't have enough of either, but Name Your Poison? I looked into this and apparently (we hope) the holiday is about making a choice, or selecting something from among a variety. I've heard the saying used for asking someone what kind of drink they would like (usually meaning alcoholic), although the reference I found to this odd holiday suggests that it could be naming your favorite choice of dessert as just one example.
So let's hope no one takes that weird holiday seriously - and in the meantime, be sure to enjoy some ice cream with a friend!
