Halloween dessert pizza!

I love desserts. I mostly love cooking. When the cooking is extra easy, I especially love it - and this is something I found that I just had to share! With a prep time of only 15 minutes (total time with cooking/cooling is actually 1 hour, 15 minutes, but it's the PREP time that always gets me) and one basic ingredient, plus whatever add-ons you choose, this is awesome!

Using nothing but a few toppings and an 18 ounce roll of Pillsbury Refrigerated Sugar Cookie dough, you can come up with this:

Although I've already told myself that I've got enough on my plate and I have enough food planned for our upcoming "toddler/mommy playdate," I may have to succumb to the temptation and add just this one last thing to the snack menu...

Here's how it's done:

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line 12-inch pizza pan with foil; grease foil. Cut cookie dough into 1/4-inch-thick slices; arrange in bottom of greased foil-lined pan. With floured fingers, press slices to form crust.
2. Bake at 350°F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 30 minutes or until completely cooled.
3. Using foil lining, lift crust from pan; carefully remove foil from crust. Place crust on serving platter or tray. Spread peanut butter evenly over crust. Sprinkle evenly with candy corn and chocolate chips.
4. Melt 1/4 cup frosting in small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until thin and of drizzling consistency.* Drizzle icing over cookie pizza. Cut into wedges or squares.

Other than leaving off the peanut butter, I think I'm going to love this recipe - and the awesome part about it is that thanks to all the great holiday marketing, you can simply swap out the toppings and make the same thing for each different holiday. Christmas time? Easy, just red and green M&M's. Easter? No problem, use the pastel colored sprinkles or jelly beans! (Which I've found out recently my son absolutely loves...)

So many options, it's a good thing I've got time to try and try and try new things! Hmmm, maybe for Christmas I'll use the Andee's red and green mint pieces on top! Yum!
