Well, the next "big" holiday that's marked on our calendar is Father's Day. Wow - this is our family's first year to celebrate that, so this is a big year for us. Father's Day has always been an important holiday for me, just because I'm a daddy's girl. So I guess it's only fitting that we make a big deal of it for the new father in our house!
I'm trying to decide what would be an appropriate way to celebrate - I know that a gift isn't necessary, but it's a nice gesture. However, my husband is especially hard to buy for. If there's something he wants, he's usually either bought it for himself or it's something technical or expensive that I can't buy. I look forward to the years when our little boy will be making his daddy gifts. You can't beat something your child has made for you! Who needs store-bought when you can have a gift truly from the heart?
I wish there was something that really showed my husband how much I appreciate and love him. Something that says, "when you look at our little boy and I see how much you love him, it makes me love you even more." Anybody got any ideas or suggestions? Well, I'll stay on the lookout, and if I find anything phenomenal, I'll share the news. Until then, happy hunting and don't let this important holiday sneak up on you!
