Family tradition

One of our family traditions for Easter we've started over the last few years is something I'll treasure all year long. One of my aunts has gotten into photography - she's pretty good. She even does weddings on the side. Anyway, for the last few years, she has started a new tradition of family photos. Some posed, some not.

The great thing about this tradition is that I take my own camera and get shots myself, but she takes her shots and gives them to us all for Christmas. With her connections, she gives us a good selection of 8x10's, 5x7's, and wallet sizes. Sure, we always have those who grumble that they can't change out of their good Easter outfits until the pictures are taken, and those who grumble just because they hate having their picture taken, also, there's the fun time we have when the little kids start getting tired... but the results are still great.

Easter%20003.jpg In one of my previous posts, I think I mentioned that I didn't think I would be getting a new Easter outfit. However, when I got to thinking about the family photos, I realized that even if I didn't get something new, I did need something nice. Especially since it was my first complete family photo with our new little boy!

Here's a s hot of all the grandkids and great grandkids (oh yeah, and the two grandsons-in-law). Don't we make a pretty bunch? And look at all the girls! The only ones missing are the first grandson and his two kids and a step-granddaughter. We make for a full house!
