Ever feel like you're always repeating yourself?

Well, if so, tomorrow is the day for you! And, if you're a mother (or just a parent), you may feel like every day falls under this heading... June 3rd is Repeat Day. What a day!

As the mother of a toddler, I can't even begin to count the number of times I say things during the day. "Put that down! Don't eat that! I said no! Come here! Don't throw the ball in the house! Leave your sister alone..." the list goes on and on and on... Sometimes I wonder if my son has a hearing problem but then I remember, oh wait, he's two! The funny thing about the above list is the "I said no" statement. He's actually picked up on that one and will sometimes repeat it - to me, to my husband, to other kids... well, I guess it's not really that funny when he says it to us, but sometimes you've just GOT to laugh!

So, for you parents out there - hang in there and remember, there is actually a day to celebrate the fact that we have to repeat ourselves - over and over and over...

Oh yeah, and the day also goes for the actions we do over and over again, which also falls into parent-territory. Think about how many times you come behind your kids to pick up the trail of (insert object of choice here) that they leave behind them. In our house, it's usually cars and cereal. (So much for the little bowl with the lid that's supposed to let them get their fingers in, pull out some cereal and keep the rest from spilling!)

Sometimes I feel like all I do is clean up the kitchen. I guess since it's the central room of the house it just naturally stays messy, but repeat cleaning is definitely on my list. Not exactly sometime I want to celebrate...

Maybe I'll stick with my repeat consumption of chocolate or something else a little more appealing!

Happy Repeat Day everyone!
