Easter candy looks SOOOO good this year

Maybe I've been blind, but this year there seems to be really great candy for Easter at the local supermarket or drug store. I've always been partial to malted milk ball eggs. They're both pretty and so tasty. I'm also hooked on Cadbury Creme Eggs. They hurt your teeth with their ridiculous amount of sweetness but lordy, those things rock!

This year, however, I've noted that my all time favorite Hershey's Kiss, the Cherry Cordial, has been joined with a Coconut Creme and a Vanilla Creme. I haven't tried them yet, because I've got such a serious addiction to the Cherry Cordial I don't need another Kiss on my back. I'm a candy addict, you see. I love candy. I can't walk by anything that is chocolate without needing a little taste. I cannot be trusted around candy.

So you can imagine what Easter does for my taste buds. I start salivating when I see the first chocolate bunnies. When the Peeps start appearing at the stores, I'm all for 'window' shopping to see what's available. I watch carefully, looking for the bags of all black jelly beans. Yum! The only Easter candy I will buy right from the getgo are those devilish Cadbury Creme Eggs. I cannot resist the egg!

But this is my little secret. I am up at the crack of dawn on Easter Monday to get the candy at half price. Because not only am I a candyholic, but I'm a cheapskate as well. Why buy at full price when there's going to be plenty left over at 50% off?

We don't celebrate Easter in my family, so all this pretty pastel foil wrapped candy is a really special tret for us. I can't wait to get a nice big bag full of something totally yummy.

Those Cadbury milk chocolate eggs with the thin layer of candy coating, in pastel colors. Oh.My. YUM!
