Do It Yourself!

Happy Craft Month – and what better way to celebrate than to get out the craft supplies that are gathering dust in the back closet and pick up where you left off on that project you started how many years ago! I can’t tell you how many unfinished projects I have collecting dust in my basement, and unfortunately, with a newborn in the house I don’t expect I’ll have much chance to finish many of them…

Since I’ve been spending so much time at home these days, I’ve discovered that there’s only so much on daytime TV, but there are a few channels that always seem to be able to catch my attention. One such station is the DIY Network. With shows like Knitty Gritty, the Carol Duval Show, and Scrapbooking, there’s always something to catch my attention and make me want to pick up the knitting needles again or get into my stamps and create something!

One of the greatest things about the DIY Network is that not only do they offer great programs, but they have such an awesome website! Okay, sure, they also feature Autos, Home Improvement, Gardening, Woodworking and their TV shows, but this IS Craft Month, right? Their craft site has a section of “Most Popular Projects” as well as an index of specific crafts. You can even check out videos. I’ve checked out their craft site and it seems like the pages go on and on… So if you’re looking for some new ideas or just a little inspiration, make sure to check out the DIY craft site!
