Did you know?

Today in history (August 22nd), the Mona Lisa was stolen from the Louvre in 1911?

It took two years for the painting to be found, and when it was, it came out that it was stolen by an employee of the Louvre who had intended to return it to Italy. For the full story, read more about it here. Kind of a neat story!
