Crazy Christmas Songs

I’ve always liked word games. I’m no good at anything that requires strategy, which unfortunately means that my husband and I don’t play a lot of games together. However, if you like word puzzles, and are a fan of Christmas music, I’ve got just the game for you. Or, more correctly, just the web-site.

Check out “Humor Matters” web site of Christmas Carols and Songs Final Exam. They’ve got three different versions you can play, and I think they’re pretty neat. I’m sure you’ve seen this before – it’s where they take the titles of well-known Christmas songs and create alternate titles for them. For example, the first one on their list is “Quadruped with crimson proboscis,” which is a little tough – I wasn’t too sure what a proboscis was, but the answer is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. That’s easy enough to get from the hints quadruped (deer) and the crimson (red).

So if you need a starter for your Christmas party or if you’re just looking for a way to pass the time, check this out. Hey, if nothing else, you might increase your vocabulary. I learned what a proboscis was!
