Christmas shows not to miss!

One of the things I love about the holidays are the specials that come on TV. (I guess that proves I'm of the TV generation...) Although some things change as we get older, as I found out tonight watching the old Rankin/Bass version of Rudolph with my toddler, there's still a soft spot in my heart for the shows I watched growing up. Sure, Rudolph wasn't as thrilling as I remembered as a kid, but it was still fun to watch it. It just seems to be yet another "signal" of the season. And it was fun to see my little boy watch and go "oh no!" when the Abominable Snowman came on the TV screen, and point out "car! choo choo! bear!" when the toys from the Island of Misfit Toys came on.

So, in keeping with the tradition of watching the same shows as I grew up with, I wanted to make sure everyone knew that tomorrow night we've got FIVE shows back to back that may be some you remember from your childhood as I do. On the ABC Family channel, there's a great lineup that I've set our TV to record some of for tomorrow night.

Starting at 7:00 PM, Mickey's Christmas Carol plays. At 7:30 PM, Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too! is on. Then, at 8:00 PM, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town (the one with the voice of Fred Astaire) comes on, followed at 9:00 PM by Rudolph's Shiny New Year and then Jack Frost at 10:00 PM.

So take a moment out of the crazy stress and running around that comes with the Christmas season and sit down and relive some of your childhood memories! Enjoy the show!
