Well, the 4th of July has come and gone, and the fireworks stands that had littered parking lots all over town have packed up and moved on. So what is there to celebrate between now and Halloween? Plenty! Just this week alone we have not just five but seven holidays - and that's not counting the weekend! Let's see what we have to look forward to...
July 7: Chocolate Day
National Strawberry Sundae Day
July 8: Video Games Day
July 9: National Sugar Cookie Day
July 10: Teddy Bear Picnic Day
July 11: Cheer up the Lonely Day
World Population Day
Today has got to be my favorite - but then I never need a reason to celebrate chocolate! I think I'll not mention Tuesday's holiday to my husband, since he never needs a reason to celebrate video games! Wednesday celebrates sugar cookies, which is good, but hey, why not throw a few chocolate chips in the mix? (Guess that would be "chocolate chip day" instead...)
Thursday's Teddy Bear Picnic day makes me think of the song, which makes me think of a recent kids movie... I'll have to look that up. Something with Ashton Kutcher... And Friday's two holidays go hand in hand - celebrating the world's population and taking time to cheer up the lonely among us.
Have a happy week!
