A well deserved holiday!

Mother's Day is the second biggest holiday, next to Christmas. Kind of funny considering you would think it was Thanksgiving or something like that... But, as much as people may complain about holidays like this, saying that they've been created by the retail industry to drive sales, I can't help but think that Mother's Day (and Father's Day for that matter) are greatly deserved holidays!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not just saying that because I'm a mom now, I really feel that parents in general aren't given the appreciation from their children, and unfortunatly sometimes from their spouses, that they deserve. I know I sure didn't always appreciate my mom. And, I've learned in just these past three months how very much love a parent has for their child. I've come to understand that a child cannot truly know how much their parents love them until they are parents themselves. It's really given me a different view of my parents!

So, please, please, don't forget to honor your mothers this year! And remember, there's no reason to wait for the one, nationally recognized day of the year to do so. Moms have a job that never quit - that's something else I learned real quick! They are the ones who will always be there and always love you, no matter what.
