A month full of baby-safety tips!

FamilyResource.com has a daily list for the month of September specifically geared towards Baby Safety Month. If you're finding you need a little direction for where to start, or what else you should be checking, this list may help point you in the right direction. Some are for infants while others are aimed at more mature children, but there's a lot of good ideas of things you should consider for your children's safety.

p_quickescape_1.jpg One that really got me was for September 5th - it addresses a fire escape plan. My husband and I have been talking about getting one of those ladders that hangs out of a window in case you're not on the first floor. None of our bedrooms right now are, so that's something we really should do now so we don't have to wish we had later. Or, if that's not something you have to worry about, do your kids know what to do in case of a fire - and are all your fire detectors working? I know for a fact that at least one of ours isn't because I remember the battery going dead and the thing chirping at us until my husband unhooked it to make it stop. (Why we didn't just replace the battery right then and there I don't know - probably because we couldn't find them...)

Check out their calendar for more great ideas to help make sure your home, and your "stuff," is baby safe!
