A holiday for blondes!

No, not as in dumb blondes, but blondies - you know, the light brown relative of regular chocolate brownies? January 22nd is National Blondie Day - and what a good holiday that sounds like! As if I ever really need a reason to enjoy something sweet, but now I actually do have an excuse! One of my absolute favorite blondie desserts is a Ruby Tuesday's. Their blondie is a pie-shaped cut of the blondie and comes with chocolate chips baked in it. It's served warm, and has caramel drizzled over it with a generous helping of vanilla ice cream on top. Yum! (The picture does NOT do it justice!)

There are SO many yummy recipes to try out - I just hope I have all the ingredients I need! Check out some of these and get to cooking!

KitchenNut has a good basic recipe with some interesting suggestions on things to try to mix it up a little.

Love Like a Vegan has an interesting twist on a blondie "pie" using soy yogurt instead of eggs - her photo looks AMAZING...

There's a thread on ChowHound that has at least 7 different blondie recipes on it - one with coconut and one with marshmallows - that sounds like something I might have to give a try...

CDKitchen has a recipe for butterscotch marble blondies, and the neat thing about this site is that you can change your "servings" and it will alter the recipe for you to suit how much you want to make.

Well, that's just a little bit of what's out there - if none of these suit you, do your own search and find something that calls to be cooked - and Enjoy!!!
